Do you really want to partner with customers?

I have been doing a number of engagements where I am seeing clients wanting to build a closer relationship with their clients. However on further investigation what they really want to do is produce what management guru David Maister calls Vulture Plans. That is they want to find out about their customers for the sole purpose of spotting sales opportunities for themselves as opposed to understanding the customer for the purpose of assisting the customer to grow their business.
The second strategy is a much more successful short and long term approach and one that goes along way to building trust.
The first is a one sided win. The second is win/win. How are you planning?

Sales E- Seminar

In August there is a major online sales conference being held and which I am proud to be part of.
